25 Creative Skull Logo Design Inspiration

Real human skulls, or any mammalian types, are scary, creepy, and may make most people uncomfortable. They are supposed to make one think of death, the dead, or in some more trivial cases, of the paranormal. But a lot of these feelings have become diluted as skulls, and their symbolism in art and design, have become a common member of the popular culture- a shift from being ghastly to cool.

Logo designers too have been incorporating skulls into their designs for a long time, especially when dealing with brand images of businesses in entertainment and recreational fields.

A common motif among skull designs is juxtaposing them with bright colours, and objects (of life) like flowers, or hearts.

Other hackneyed styles include the skull symbol in the ‘danger’ crossbow sign, which is probably the oldest, or maybe it’s the dead yet lively pirate insignia, the ‘Jolly Roger’.
